Now you can look at Vidima before leaving your email.
The first screen used to ask for your email before showing anything. Not any more: you come in, you use the program, and the email is asked for only when something has to leave your computer.
Looking costs nothing, not even your 30 days
There is a third door: come in and look. You navigate everything, create a client, write a real invoice and save it. None of that leaves your computer, so we ask for nothing in return — and your 30-day trial does not start. The clock begins when you decide.
A bank fee no longer falsifies your balance
A CHF 1,000 transfer that arrived as 950 was recorded as 1,000, silently: from then on Vidima’s balance and your bank’s stopped agreeing, which is exactly what importing a statement is meant to prevent. Now, when the amount that entered the account is not the amount of the transaction, the payment is set aside for you to review. The program does not guess the difference: from a statement there is no way to know whether those 50 are a fee, an exchange rate or a bank error.
The lock screen no longer says your invoices are gone
If you forgot your password, the link offering a way in was labelled “Forgot your PIN?” and underneath a note said the encrypted data could not be recovered. That link leads to the recovery key, which works and gives everything back. Now the link names the password, and the note says how to get in first.
Why it matters
All three happen at moments when a person decides whether to trust you: the first time they open the program, the day they reconcile the account, and the day they think they have lost months of work.
